Thomas Franklin Crabtree, 80 of Lucasville, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on December 3, 1943 in Portsmouth to the late Sylvester Crabtree and Kathryn Josephine Jeffries Altman.  In 1968 he was united in marriage to his wife of over 55 years Debbie McClary Crabtree who survives.  Also surviving are his children; Pam (Michael) Bayless of Lucasville, Willie (Stephanie) Crabtree of Otway and Thomas Ray Crabtree of Lucasville; grandchildren, Tommy Crabtree, Melina Crabtree, Hunter Russell, Destinie (George) Munyon, Devon (Katlyn) Thomas, Madysen Thomas, Michael D Bayless, Emma Bayless, Noah Bayless, Kenny Crabtree, William (Skila) Crabtree, Colton Jones, Devin Stewart and Emily Mason; great grandchildren; Hailie Crabtree, Deja Newton, Daxton Newton, Myla Russell, Brooklyn Munyon, Mackenzie Munyon, Rylee Munyon, Carter Thomas, Asher Fields, Adalee Fields, Rhoads Mason, Archer Mason and Loretta Lynn Crabtree; brothers, Steven Joseph Crabtree of Lucasville and James Carl Crabtree of Lucasville.  In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by siblings, William Sylvester Crabtree, John Raymond Crabtree, Rosalee Stevens, Virginia Ella Crabtree and Betty Cathleen Rose.

Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a carpenter by trade and an avid fisherman.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Doug Altman officiating.  Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
