Vernon "Mark" Pfeifer, 61, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.  He was born December 22, 1962 in Pike County, Ohio to the late Vernon Lowell "Pete" Pfeifer and Elizabeth "Betty" Snively Pfeifer who survives.  Also surviving are his children, Chayce (Holly) Pfeifer of Piketon who was by his side until the end,  Emily Lightle of Piketon, Brandon (Emily) Pfeifer of Waverly, Casey (J.P.) Risner of Ironton, and Kyle Pfeifer of Waverly; grandchildren, Hayleigh, Jlynn, Reagan, Aaliyah and Elijah; siblings, Tammy (Brian) Holsinger, Janice Pfeifer, Chris Pfeifer, Anita (Keith) Leaning and John (Terina) Pfeifer; and his ex-wife who stayed by his side, Juanita Stephens.  In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Nelle Sears Pfeifer; and a brother, Gregory Pfeifer.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Mt. Latham Cemetery, Waverly, Ohio.
