Violet M. Williams Daigle, 93, formerly of Waverly, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in Port Charlotte, Florida.  She was born in Greenup County, Kentucky on September 25, 1930 the daughter of the late Charles Taylor and Ola Fooce Taylor.  On November 23, 1946 she was united in marriage to William H. "Bill" Williams who preceded her in death on May 20, 2005.  Surviving are a son, Mark (Eileen) Williams of Ocala, Florida; daughters-in-law, Penny Williams of Waverly and Melody Connell of Ocala, Florida; four stepdaughters, Dee Graves, Suzanne Clifford, Marie Kuper and Louise Griswold; twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands Bill Williams and Joseph Daigle, Violet was preceded in death by her sons, Gary H. Williams, Ricky L. Williams and Ronald K. (Pam) Williams,  a stepson, David Daigle; six brothers, two half-brothers and two half-sisters.

Violet was a passionate cook and loved making holiday and Sunday dinners for her family. She loved visiting with her children and grandchildren.  She was an avid gardener, enjoyed painting landscapes and was a competitive card player.   Violet was a member of Central Church of Christ in Ocala, Florida.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Larry Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery on Denver Rd. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
