Walter Michael "Poppa" Tilley, 82, of Chillicothe, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 13, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Francis and Phoebe Cramblitt Tilley.  He was united in marriage to Uverna Marie Borders Tilley who preceded him in death on November 12, 2012.  Surviving are his children, Michael Lee (Cheryl) Tilley of Chillicothe, Walter Matthew (Linda) Tilley of Waverly, Richard Michael Tilley of Indianapolis, Indiana, Phoebe Marie (Kenneth) Tackett of Chillicothe, Laura Christine Tilley of Indianapolis and Debbie Ann Tilley of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Shyla, Caitlyn, Jalyn, Matthew, Michaela, Noah, Wesley, Luke, Autumn, Brandon, Brett, Megan, Nicole, Tyler, Kaylee and Lacy; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Mike Mollett officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
