William "Bill" Allen Wiseman, 77, of Waverly, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.  He was born on February 21, 1944 in Piketon, Ohio son of the late Benton Wiseman Jr. and Louise McDaniel Wiseman.  On October 20, 1963 he was united in marriage to Karen Sager Wiseman who survives.  Also surviving are sons, Billy Wiseman and wife Melody of Waverly and Randy Wiseman of Waverly; grandchildren, Ryan Wiseman and wife Lisa, Jordan Wiseman, Paige Remy and husband Davis, Madison Kelley and husband Abe, Morgan Stiltner and husband Garland and Kylee Wiseman; great grandson, Nash Remy; brother, Marvin Dale Wiseman of Clermont, Florida; sister, Helen Deiber of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Shelby Wiseman and daughter-in-law, Amanda Wiseman.  In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by a son, Steven Wiseman, grandson, Logan Wiseman and three brothers, Donald, Carl and Paul Wiseman.

Bill retired as a commissary manager at Chillicothe Correctional Institute and served as a deputy under Sheriff Roy Ross.  He loved his family and his music.  Bill grew up playing music, there wasn't an instrument that he couldn't play, but the banjo was his favorite. He was a very versatile musician playing country music and bluegrass music.  His love of music has inspired many.  Bill also started the group Paradise Valley Boys.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Reed officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road in Waverly.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
