Mary Ann Lawson, 77, of Otway, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.  She was born January 31, 1942 in Portsmouth to the late Willard and Muriel Tiny America (Briggs) Bennett.  On August 30, 1959 she was united in marriage to Gary Edmond Lawson who preceded her in death on October 2, 2007.  She is survived by four daughters, Catrina (Charlie) Burton of Coolville, Ohio, Teri (Billy) Witt of Otway, Letitia (Tim) Murphy of Blue Creek, Ohio and Dana (Brian) Williams of Otway; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Lawson of South Shore, Kentucky; one brother, Gary (Carol) Bennett of McDermott, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Carolyn Brown of Otway and Markeeta Rawlins of South Webster, Ohio.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Wendell Lawson, sisters Sandy Tackett, Barb Riffe, great grandson Keaton Lawson and a brother, Sonny Bennett.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2020 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Donny Rachford and Daron Lilly.  Burial will follow in Berea Chapel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday January 16, 2020 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway and for one hour until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
